I was raised on my parents's favorites, so Motown and 60's pop and disco from mom, 60&70's rock and bluegrass and opera/classical from my dad. Punk and metal were my main thing, and then I kinda stumbled into the other genres on my own, which is why I only like a few C&W artists, a handful of rappers, a modern song here and there. I'm not even certain I could elaborate the differences between country and western. 😆

CW was my dad. My mom once yelled at me in front of my friends (we were 16) “where the fuck is my Zeppelin 8-track?” my grandpa was classical with cribbage and jazz with bridge, but worked as a head usher at every LA venue from the 50’s to the 80’s. my uncle had headphones and prog rock and Jim Ladd. thanks for sharing
