I actually like the switch, but he had earlier claimed that accepting public funding was he principled route. I largely ignore positions on issues because the important issues in a presidency aren't on the radar screen on election day. Instead, I evaluate decision-making criteria. If it's principled, I go with him or her. Obama abandoned principle to gain short-term personal advantage.
