Ric, this is a insightful breakdown—not just of the Prisoner’s Dilemma, but of the way it plays out in every corner of our world, from politics to personal choices. The way you connect your lived experience to the broader systems at play is powerful. The idea that the only way to win is to reject the game itself really resonates—especially in a moment where so many seem trapped in cycles of fear, division, and short-term thinking. Thanks for this one—lots to chew on.

thank you Peter, i very much appreciate your thoughtful comment. I am fortunate in one way that I went to prison. I gained respect from every single quarter of incarcerated society - inmates, convicts, cops, and CO's- often, in a room of 30-50 grown-ass men of all skin colors (they got days off for attending) less than 10 could read at a 5th grade level. I taught GED classes (talk about multiple hustle streams) to men that could not form the letters that spelled their names. Many could not read "Dick and Jane" books. The title helped me teach! But to a tweaker, they explained fractions way better. None of those men knew anything of "game theory" so it led me to believe that it's an inherent attribute.
