Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. You get to gather around the table with friends and family and break bread, so to say. I enjoy Thanksgiving so much more than Christmas. I am not a “things” person, so it’s family and friends without the present stress. My tribe is small, my table is large and full of an eclectic mix of kids passing through on the way to somewhere else, and the group that I refer to as the singletons. My door is open, and the offerings abundant, and I get to see my friend as they pass through. I would hope that my friends are thankful for the community of friends, old and new, and the food because food and feeding my friends and family is my love language. I am grateful, oh so grateful for the path, ever so rocky and difficult, but beautiful and worthy, because it brought me here.

Gratitude brings me peace. It is the antidotes for all the negative feelings. I am grateful for who and what I have in my life so my life is full and I want for nothing.
