There are several older neighborhoods by me. When I ride my bike through them I often wonder what the backstory is on each house. Some scream “starter home” and “new life together,” and some scream “old money and scandal.” It’s fun to do!
As an appraiser, I have been fortunate to inspect many many historical dwellings in So Cal. I've probably appraised around 10K properties, giving me snippets of insight in some of those backstories. Human nature is so amazing and amusing to observe.

It really feels like this current time needs us to look to the past to see human nature at it's best and worst. Maybe we can learn, right?
Absolutely. And if you've never heard Dan Carlin before, you're in for a trip. The series on WW1 and WW2 are incredible, as are the ancient history episodes.
