I love this! As for following one’s “passion,” if i had a nickel for every time someone at my son’s HS used it, we could both retire to full time writing. It’s become the default phrase for everything.
He’s also feeling the pressure of going to the “right” school and getting a “good” job. And someone one he’s supposed to be passionate about. In reality, he wants to take a few classes to learn the business side of the business (and life!) he’s trying to build.

We've lived parallel lives, my brother! I am what I am today because of all the times I failed and fell down in my life. My kids think they had a rough childhood (they didn't) but I like them thinking that they did! Thanks for being here in my community!
