I started this project way back during the Troubles of ‘21. It was a gruesome time, as some may remember. One of my escapes turned into this. Somehow, someway, through Covid, adult kids coming and going, the end of a 30-year marriage, and industries I’d spent decades toiling in just crumbling underneath my feet, I made it to this side.
Not the other side. Or the safe side. Or to my side. But to this side. Exactly where we are right now. That is the best thing about you, my Substackers. We meet right where we are. Exactly in that moment in time. Pick it up from the last time and put it down for the next time. It’s all your choice. And mine. And we choose the same exact thing. That is a win. We take wins now.
Substack just rolled out an amazing upgrade for creators. It’s our dashboard look at our metrics. I was blown away. I fluctuate because of attention-deficit disorder. I need to pay more attention to you my loyal readers. And today I did.
