Where Do You See DTLA?
Can one vacation from one gig while continuing to work all of the others? Yes. As we are all discovering. As I concentrate my energy on tasks unconnected to writing in one way, new opportunities I’ve earned lead to yet more creative juice.
My passion for DTLA is based on the sheer fact of her accessibility. I see her shine and reflect. I catch her shrouded and shy. I’ve crested a hill disoriented from the drunken-cow-layout of Southern California and just happened upon her.
Like today. I’m officially vacationing from writing this week to halt the mental grind. What a difference a day makes, right? Sharing photos of this beautiful shining city in a valley is not work. It’s sharing.
Here’s my ask of you: if you are DTLA-adjacent, please leave a comment and send me a pic. If not, send me pic of your favorite city.
I created this Substack to engage, and I’m so appreciative of my readers. I am reluctant to request more of you than your relaxed enjoyment. But if the mood strikes, and you feel like engaging, I would relish the occasion.
Enjoy a cold (adult) beverage and let’s all enjoy the moment,
Ric
Delightful. I feel happier for some reason, or at least less depressed.
