1st Take/2nd Look: #2
Now that you are here, where will we go? And are we there yet? Do we need a sign to tell us where to go. I got that. i told you it would be late.
1/2 dozen or less ideas . . .
Abraham Lincoln: Gen-X OG? Latch-key kid. Chaotic childhood. Dystopian adulthood. Early death.
Emotional Intelligence and Rethinking - what I call “Let it Ripen” a hard lesson to learn for an obnoxious arrogant blowhard. (Not me!)
War Talks - sitting at the table with China, Iran and Russia? We buy oil from Iran. Iran buys arms from Russia. China buys oil from Russia. Ok?
House Plants: Empiricist Subjugation, Gender Oppressive, or Horticultural Expression? Check this out The Age of Houseplants
DTLA Project - Unnamed, Undefined, and Underway. Thats how we do instead of try.

Trying to flesh this out on the fly. Well that, and really trying to get a good night’s sleep. Or just a night’s sleep. Because I can’t handle losing (ok with failure, that’s mine), I keep wrestling these thoughts until either I subdue them or they control me.
Yeah, I know, kinda all or nothing. But here’s my thing. Once a thought leaves this head, it’s yours. Tag.
This will be an avenue of escape from the fabbit-hole. The reason my posts are in excess of 2000 words is because I have WVS (Word-Vomit Syndrome - advanced condition). And writing is the only way I can impose word brevity upon myself. My only therapy!
So here is my plan as it sits here today. Post cool pics of DTLA from all over SoCal. Also, Market Murals have been attracting my attention.
I love how The Virgin Mary is looking straight at the Disabled Placard. (and they sell finches!) That caught my attention. I have been taking pictures of DTLA since the late 1980s. And that little bit of here and there consistency seems to be a hallmark of mine.
Music Now
I can’t post without music, so here is where I will post a song or two to set the mood. Check this mood out.
I've seen Jesus play with flames in a lake of fire that I was standing in
Met the devil in Seattle and spent 9 months inside the lions den
Met Buddha yet another time and he showed me a glowing light within
But I swear that God is there every time I glare in the eyes of my best friend
Says my son it's all been done and someday you're gonna wake up old and gray
So go and try to have some fun showing warmth to everyone
You meet and greet and cheat along the way
There's a gateway in our mind that leads somewhere out there far beyond this plane
Where reptile aliens made of light cut you open and pull out all your pain
Tell me how you make illegal something that we all make in our brain
Some say you might go crazy but then again it might make you go sane
Every time I take a look inside that old and fabled book
I'm blinded and reminded of the pain caused by some old man in the sky
Marijuana, LSD, psilocybin, and DMT they all changed the way I see
But love's the only thing that ever saved my life
So don't waste your mind on nursery rhymes
Or fairy tales of blood and wine
It's turtles all the way down the line
So to each their own til' we go home
To other realms our souls must roam
To and through the myth that we all call space and time
I am using this space and time as a total stream of consciousness avenue to hopefully engulf you in the mood and place within which I now and then find myself. I need you here with me.
You need to be here, with me, to experience something that hasn’t been thought of before. To add to this stream.
I am soliciting ideas, suggestions, directives, shout-outs and shut-ups. Got a photo of DTLA? A cool Market Mural of your favorite Pop Market? Let me know. Help me out here.
My most popular post has 7 comments. I lay awake at night wondering how it would feel to have 10 at the top. Double Digits just has a certain ring to it.

I prefer your stream of consciousness in writing. Thank you for sharing.
My own stream of consciousness: there is something quintessentially “west coast” about 76, and it makes me miss home. Thanks for the pictures of LA- a good dose of escapism on a 17 degree morning.
